Wordpress Default set of Smilies

Custom Aqua Smilies selected for Wordpress
WordPress comes with the ugliest set of smilies you might have ever seen. They sucks a big time. I searched a way to change the default set with a custom one and came up with the following result:
- Either I have to use some plugin which allows you to choose a different set of smilies.
- Or I have the option of making a backup of the default set and replace the existing one with the custom one.
I found the second method to be the easiest one and I will be sharing the same with all the readers. In this tutorial, I will be explaining how to have custom smilies on wordpress blogs.
BACKUP
Default set of smilies lie in a folder named smilies in the images folder of wp-includes folder. For example: For this blog, the smilies lie in http://blog.ashfame.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/
Before proceeding further, download all the files in smilies folder as a backup via FTP. In case you wish to revert back to the old set of smilies, they will be needed.
PROCEDURE
Now just replace the images in the smilies folder with the images of your image set of smilies and you are done.
Here is a live preview of smilies on my blog:
If you want this set of smilies for your own blog, then feel free to download it.
