WordPress App for iPhone Blackberry Android and now Nokia

As many of you might have heard from the official post that WordPress application is now available for several mobile platforms. The power that these mobile applications offer let us enjoy mobile administration and maintenance of our WordPress blog just like we do it in a browser. Obviously we can use the browser interface too and administrate and manage everything on our blog but it is not a very effective method of doing so. WordPress applications for mobile interface gives us an optimized smartphone user interface.

WordPress for iPhone & iPod touch

WordPress app is already available for iPhone and iPod touch for long. If are a iPhone or iPod touch owner, I would suggest that you try out its WordPress application.

Its the only app that lets you write posts, upload photos, edit pages, and manage comments on your blog from your iPhone or iPod touch. With support for both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress (2.7 or higher), users of all experience levels can get going in seconds.

I agree with that because I read some comments of its users who were quite satisfied by the app.

WordPress for Blackberry

It was recently made available for Blackberry phones too.

The all new WordPress for BlackBerry app allows you to write posts, upload photos and videos, edit pages, and manage comments. Both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress (2.7 or higher) sites are supported. It supports VideoPress too.

It is available for Android phones too.

WordPress for Android application empowers you to write new posts, edit content, and manage comments with built-in notifications.

Although 3rd part applications are available too such as wpToGo but having an official app is always better in my opinion because the app will go as per the main platform for sure.

WordPress for Nokia

After checking out the development for these three platforms I wanted to have something for my Nokia N86 too which runs on Symbian OS. I google out some apps but they were not full fledged and I was left wanting something official for my platform too.

And then once I landed on something which made me fill with joy, it was the development of WordPress app for Nokia.

Its in its early versions. I will soon write a tutorial of installing it and then write a small review. In the meantime, you can have a look at its development blog.
